Windows 2000

ถ้ามีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องใช้ Windows 2000 ควรทำ 2 ขั้นตอนนี้ด้วยคือ

- Enable big harddisk support (ตามปกติจะเห็นประมาณ 120G) ถ้าไม่ทำจะทำให้มีอาการอยู่ๆ partition หายไปเฉยๆ หรือมองเห็น harddisk ไม่เต็มความจุ

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Atapi\Parameters
3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: EnableBigLba
Data type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0x1
4. Quit Registry Editor.

- Install IE6 SP1 เพื่อให้สามารถเข้า Windows Update ได้ (ปกติจะมาพร้อมกับ IE5)
1. download ie6 sp1 setup ได้จาก link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=90&p=&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=1e1550cb-5e5d-48f5-b02b-20b602228de6&genscs=&u=http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie6sp1/finrel/6_sp1/W98NT42KMeXP/EN-US/ie6setup.exe
2. สั่ง download setup file มาเก็บไว้เพื่อ install ได้โดย run คำสั่ง

ie6setup.exe /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"

ซึ่งจะ save ไว้ที่ drive e:
